Job Description

    As a Software Development Engineer 2 at AMD, you will play a crucial role in driving and enhancing AMDs capabilities to deliver cutting-edge technologies to the market. You will be a key contributor in a dynamic and growing team, working towards building industry-leading products that shape the future of computing experiences.The ideal candidate for this role is someone with a proactive and innovative mindset, who is passionate about software engineering development and technology. You will be required to have a Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline, along with at least 4 years of experience in software development.Key qualifications for this position include a strong knowledge and hands-on experience in C and C, a good understanding of object-oriented design principles, software engineering principles, data structures, algorithms, and operating systems concepts. Familiarity with Linux and modern software tools and techniques for development is essential, along with a background in EDA tools.Additionally, proficiency in scripting using Python, problem-solving skills, and the ability to think creatively are highly valued qualities for this role. Experience with software quality assurance practices, methodologies, and procedures is required. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with global teams are also important.Preferred qualifications include exposure to writing C code, familiarity with FPGAs and FPGA software tool chains, and a good understanding of Python scripting.
