The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing our supply chain operations, including technical product sourcing, logistics management, inventory management, and manufacturing processes. This role requires a proactive leader who can collaborate effectively with production, rapid prototyping, mechanical, and product teams to ensure the seamless flow of materials and products.Key Responsibilities:Technical Product Sourcing: Identify and establish relationships with domestic and international vendors. Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and reliability. Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure favorable terms and conditions.Logistics Management: Develop and implement logistics strategies to ensure timely delivery of materials and products. Coordinate and manage transportation, warehousing, and distribution activities. Monitor and optimize logistics costs while maintaining high service levels.Inventory Management: Oversee inventory planning and control to meet production and customer demands. Implement inventory management systems and practices to minimize stockouts and excess inventory. Conduct regular audits and analyze inventory data to improve accuracy and efficiency.Manufacturing Lead Time Reduction: Collaborate with manufacturing teams to identify and implement process improvements. Develop strategies to reduce lead times and enhance production efficiency. Monitor production schedules and ensure timely delivery of products.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with production, rapid prototyping, mechanical, and product teams to align supply chain activities with company goals. Facilitate effective communication and collaboration across departments. Participate in product development and innovation initiatives to support new product launches.Supplier Relationship Management: Maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and vendors. Monitor supplier performance and address any issues or concerns. Conduct regular reviews and assessments to ensure supplier compliance with quality standards.Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze supply chain data and metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement. Prepare and present reports on supply chain performance to senior management. Utilize data-driven insights to make informed decisions and drive continuous improvement.Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field; Masters degree/MBA preferred. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, start-up environment and manage multiple priorities. Proficiency in supply chain management software and tools.
