Growing together.We are looking for a Data Analyst to join our team, working within the Capitation group at Optum and for BI & Claims reporting. This role involves developing and supporting reporting and web applications for internal and external customers, as well as producing and maintaining dashboards in PowerBI/Tableau and migrating existing reports to modern platforms like SQL.Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain analytic reports, web applications, and dashboards
• Support the Capitation department for planning and insight into monthly Capitation payment, eligibility, and growth of providers and membership
• Perform high-level and detailed analysis on Capitation data across UnitedHealthcare and Optum
• Analyze data from different sources, identify data integrity issues, and develop solutions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and project managers from design to implementation, monitoring, and maintenance
• Design business analysis and data migration solutions
• Maintain and update dashboards to ensure accuracy
• Regularly review and resolve data report errors
• Create insightful business reports and communicate results
• Coordinate with supervisors/clients and manage daily activities of business support and technical teams
• Build business intelligence tools, conduct analysis to identify patterns and trends, and ensure data quality using tools like Power BI, Alteryx, and Access
• Partner with stakeholders to understand data requirements and develop tools/models such as segmentation, dashboards, data visualizations, decision aids, and business case analysis
• Analyze and document requirements, evaluate, and build effective solutions
• Perform detailed data profiling and reporting
• Research complex data/analytical issues
• Conduct source system and gap analysis

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in computer science or related fields
• B.Tech & equivalent
• 4 years of relevant industry experience (Healthcare preferred)
• Experience developing Power BI dashboards and transitioning work
• Experience in requirements gathering and data warehousing systems analysis
• General knowledge of business operations and information flow
• Proficient in VBA, SQL, Access, Power BI, Python, and Alteryx
• Intermediate level of proficiency with Excel, Excel Macros, and Microsoft Access
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency with at least one web application development tool (e.g., Flask API, HTML, Django, Angular JS, Streamlit, Microsoft Power Platform)
• Beginner to intermediate proficiency with Azure Data Bricks and Azure Data Factory
• Proven solid skills in process support, automation, and business insights
• Proven ability to organize data, recognize trends, and develop innovative approaches
• Proven analytical skills for data-driven report development
• Proven time management and project prioritization skills
• Proven solid written and verbal communication skills
• Proven excellent critical thinking and attention to detail
• Proven excellent communication, time/project management, problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills
