  • Develop test strategy, test plan from designs, specifications, and user requirements
  • Develop and enhance manual test cases and automation test scripts
  • Perform functional and integration testing of both GUI, non-GUI (transactional) systems
  • Partner with developers to improve and implement automate test solutions
  • Perform software installations, configurations, and debugging of test environments
  • Conduct demonstrations and training with other departments and for support teams
  • Assist the customer support team troubleshoot application issues in production
  • Train and mentor new quality engineers
  • Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so.
Required Qualifications:
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
  • 4 years QA experience with in-depth understanding of software testing principles and techniques
  • 3 years concentrated experience
  • Experience coding or automation skills using Java, Perl, VB, LoadRunner, Selenium, JMeter
  • Solid knowledge of any type of UNIX environment
  • Intermediate knowledge of XML, Soap, HTTP, and web services transaction development or testing
  • Intermediate knowledge of relational databases. Must be proficient creating SQL queries using tools like DbVisualizer, Microsoft Query, or command-line
  • Solid communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Solid troubleshooting and investigative skills
  • Self-motivated, team player with service-oriented mindset
  • Agile (SCRUM), Rally, WebLogic, Subversion, DbVisualizer, SoapUI experience is a plus
  • Intermediate knowledge of Java, Oracle, XML, J2EE, or web services is a big plus
