Job Description

    Job description
    • Develop a strong team of airframe and product designers
    • Lead the team through design review phases as per Product Design Life Cycle
    • Take up the product ownership of an entire drone system and ground system support Set up and manage and streamline the CAD tasks from concepts to detailed design
    • Help in automating 3D to 2D and other aspects related to BOM and configuration maintenance
    • Manage internal stakeholders for system integration and product validation, develop vendor and suppliers
    • Setting up CTQs, ATPs, process of inspection and design dispositions
    • Builds safety, reliability and value right from the concept stage
    • Has a wide experience and know how and why on mechanical systems, basics of dynamics and kinematics
    • Conduct Management and Design reviews
    • Set up a cadence for reviews and metric reporting at various levels
    • Training on CAD tools and practices to junior team, instill standard work and automation to accelerate design iterations
    • Good knowledge in structural analysis
    • Overall knowledge and skill to various manufacturing process such as composite, machined metals, plastic molding
    • Coordinate production transitions from engineering to production
    • Drive the overall process implementation in product design life cycle with continuous improvements for process maturity as per AS9100D requirements
    • Responsibilities:
    • Strong skills and industrial exposure and practices for designing and developing mechanical structures, interfaces and systems
    • Excellent product design experience throughout a life cycle
    • Value engineering/Value Analysis and DFX exposure and practices
    • Problem solving and taking care product sustenance
    • Product Configuration management
    • Coordination with Production line
    • Electronic packing and thermal and vibration management
    • Onboard and drive CAD tools, functions and capabilities within the design office
    • People management and excellent communication skills with focus on conflict resolution
    • Ability to continuously improve work group and mature process, people and products
    • Coordination within project teams, functions and external stakeholders Environmental testing leading to product qualification and certification
    • Monitor and Control Risks and capable to drive major project decisions with positive outcomes
    • Skills: B Tech / M Tech in Mechanical, or Aerospace Mechanical System Any Product Design certification from recognized institutes is a positive Any organizational process certification such DFSS/CI/ACE etc
