Job Description

    The Transport Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of transportation operations within our organization. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with excellent managerial and logistical skills.Responsibilities:
    • Develop and implement transportation strategies to optimize efficiency and reduce costs.
    • Manage a fleet of vehicles, including scheduling, maintenance, and repairs.
    • Supervise and train drivers to ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
    • Plan and coordinate transportation routes to meet delivery deadlines and customer requirements.
    • Monitor transportation expenses and identify opportunities for cost savings.
    • Ensure compliance with local, national, and international transportation regulations and standards.
    • Implement and maintain transportation management systems and software.
    • Address customer inquiries and resolve transportation-related issues in a timely manner.
    • Analyze transportation data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
    • Collaborate with other departments, such as logistics, warehousing, and procurement, to optimize transportation processes and workflows.
    Requirements:
    • Bachelors degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.
    • Proven experience in transportation management, preferably in a supervisory or managerial role.
    • Strong knowledge of transportation regulations, safety standards, and best practices.
    • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to effectively communicate with drivers, staff, and external stakeholders.
    • Proficiency in transportation management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
    • Valid drivers license with a clean driving record (if applicable).
