Job Description

As a Ruby on Rails Developer at Thrillophilia, you will be responsible for contributing to the development of scalable and maintainable web applications. Your primary focus will be on understanding the business requirements and delivering features within the stipulated timeline. Heres what you should be like and the qualifications required for this role:**Role Overview:**- You should be someone who takes ownership of tasks and ensures timely delivery of assigned features.- Always striving to optimize your code and finding new ways to enhance efficiency.- Writing tests for your features is a non-negotiable aspect of your work.- Enthusiastic about learning new technologies and spending your free time exploring and expanding your knowledge.- A problem-solver who delves deep into Rails source code when faced with challenges.- Passionate about travel and interested in developing systems to benefit fellow travelers.**Key Responsibilities:**- Good CS fundamentals and strong problem-solving skills.- 4 years of experience in building scalable web applications, with at least 2 years in Ruby on Rails.- Proficiency in Git and solid understanding of databases like PostgreSQL, MYSQL.- Experience in designing efficient database schemas with the use of indexes, constraints, triggers, etc.- Hands-on experience with in-memory databases such as Redis, Memcache.- Proficient in writing raw SQL queries independently.- Familiarity with background job processing systems like Sidekiq, Delayed Jobs.- Sound knowledge of REST APIs and experience in building robust APIs.- Writing automated tests using RSpec or similar frameworks.- Effective communication and teamwork skills.**Qualifications Required:**- Experience in building responsive webpages using HTML, (S)CSS, JS is a bonus.- Familiarity with ReactJS is advantageous.- Previous experience in building a Ruby Gem will be a plus.- Hands-on experience in DevOps and ElasticSearch is preferred.- Prior exposure to AWS services is beneficial.Join Thrillophilia to be a part of a dynamic team dedicated to revolutionizing the travel industry and creating innovative solutions for travelers worldwide.,
