The IBM z platform and the mainframe disk and tape technologies are frequently refreshed across our datacenters.Responsible for the design and maintenance of the operating environment that provides the technology, stability, and power to meet the Firms z-platform computing requirements., *Skills Required:- Experienced zOS systems engineer- Excellent trouble shooting skills- Able to work in a stressed situation like system outage- Strong SMP/E skills. zOSMF and new zos technologies, rest api, kafka, zos connect, zos explorer- Strong USS/OMVS skills- Experience with z/OS and ISV software installations especially the EMC software and Broadcom- Excellent Testing skills (design tests to validate software functionality, robustness, performance)- Excellent REXX codding skills. Able to write and support systems code- Weekend support and on-call rotation- Vast experience in multi-site interchangeable disaster recovery solutionAttributes:- Self-motivated individual and a team player- Outstanding researcher/investigator with outside the box line of thought- Good verbal and written English communications skills- over 10 years of extensive experience with a global base financing institution
