Job Description

Job Summary:The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of warehouse operations, including inventory management, logistics, staff supervision, and ensuring efficient, safe, and organized storage and distribution of goods. This role focuses on achieving operational excellence, optimizing resources, and meeting company objectives.Key Responsibilities: Warehouse Operations: Plan, coordinate, and oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and shipping goods. Ensure proper storage of goods and adherence to warehouse layout and space optimization. Maintain accurate records of inventory and conduct regular audits. Monitor and implement effective use of warehouse management systems (WMS).Inventory Management: Manage stock levels and track inventory to prevent overstocking or shortages. Implement FIFO/LIFO or other inventory control methods as required. Coordinate with procurement and sales teams to align inventory with demand.Team Supervision: Recruit, train, and supervise warehouse staff, including packers, forklift operators, and clerks. Develop work schedules and delegate tasks to ensure smooth workflow. Monitor staff performance and provide feedback to improve productivity.Logistics and Coordination: Collaborate with logistics teams to schedule and manage inbound and outbound shipments. Ensure timely delivery of goods to customers or other locations. Address and resolve issues related to shipping, damages, or delays.Safety and Compliance: Enforce adherence to safety regulations, company policies, and legal standards. Conduct regular safety drills and ensure proper use of equipment and protective gear. Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment to reduce risks.Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and present reports on warehouse performance, inventory levels, and operational metrics. Analyze data to identify areas for improvement and implement cost-saving measures. Monitor and control expenses to stay within budgetary limits.Qualifications: Education: Bachelors degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field. Certification in warehouse management or logistics is a plus. Experience: Proven experience as a Warehouse Manager or in a similar role. Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics. Skills: Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and MS Office. Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.Key Attributes: Detail-oriented and highly organized.
