Third Party Risk & Oversight is responsible for the execution of BNY Mellon s Third-Party Risk Management activities at an enterprise level, including risk assessments, due diligence and ongoing monitoring of third parties. The function is responsible and accountable for the execution of third-party risk management activities globally.DescriptionAs a Third-Party Risk Assessor, you will assess third parties and identify high risk drivers. This will also include escalation and remediation of identified third party risk issues with line of business partners, while providing robust and challenging insight on business risk, and on the adequacy and effectiveness of the third party s controls.A dedicated, passionate and self-starting candidate, with a desire to produce high quality work product to differentiate and drive firm wide change, is preferred.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Perform risk assessments by analyzing questionnaires such as third-party engagement profiles and due diligence evaluations.Evaluate third party control effectiveness and review evidence of controls by applying audit, compliance, security, and regulatory framework knowledge and experience, including, but not limited to: ISO 27001, SIG, SOC reports, as well as Privacy, Business Resiliency and other risk domainsAnalyze third party risk data, including exit strategies and performance scorecards; attend third party oversight meetingsLiaise with key business partners and team members to facilitate risk analysis to identify appropriate criticality of third partiesManage required artifacts, perform quality control reviews, and support the end to end processing.Develop working knowledge of the Bank of New York Mellon s operations as needed to ensure optimization of due diligence reviews and risk assessments.Contribute to the Third-Party Risk & Oversight program execution and adherence, including process enhancements and remediation efforts, as applicable.Drive key projects for program enhancements and efficiencies with minimal supervisionActively seek out system and process improvement opportunities and deliver solutionsTrain and mentor junior team members.QualificationsRequired Skills / Experience:Experience performing third party risk assessments is required Experience gathering information from a range of different sources and methods e.g. interviews, meetings, review of processes, manuals, and documentation is requiredKnowledge of Compliance, Audit, Regulatory and Risk Principles is requiredKnowledge of Information Security Principles including encryption, firewalls, DLP solutions requiredAbility to plan, organize, prioritize and drive workload autonomouslyStrong project management skillsExperience driving solutions and working as part of a flexible high performing teamOutstanding interpersonal, written and communication skillsQualifications:15+ years of total work experience3+ years of Third-Party risk assessment experienceBachelors degree and relevant work experience is requiredAdvanced Excel and PowerPoint skills are requiredStrong analytical and quantitative skills are requiredProcess optimization experience is preferredRisk Assessment certifications (e.g. CTPRA) is strongly preferredBNY Mellon is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.Our ambition is to build the best global team one that is representative and inclusive of the diverse talent, clients and communities we work with and serve and to empower our team to do their best work.
