Job Description

Overview of the role: We are looking for an Android Developer to join a globally distributed Development team following an Agile Software Development and Release Methodology.

  • Translate designs and wireframes into high quality code.
  • Design, build, and maintain high performance, reusable, and reliable Java code.
  • Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the application.
  • Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.
  • Help maintain code quality, organization, and automation.
  • Participate in code reviews, design and sprint meetings.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyse, design, and ship new features, The Requirement
  • 8+ years of software development experience.
  • Excellent knowledge in core Java.
  • Understanding of Android development using Kotlin.
  • Hands on experience in the full Android development cycle from design till deployment in Play Store and support.
  • Strong knowledge of Android SDK, different versions of Android and how to deal with different screen sizes.
  • Experience on web service integration (SOAP, REST, JSON, XML).
  • Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, architecture, design patterns and best practices/guidelines.
  • Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications.
  • Must have at least one published application in PlayStore.
  • Experience with memory management, threading, performance tuning and caching mechanisms specific to mobile devices.
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git/SVN.
  • Experience with Android Studio and Gradle.
  • Good understanding of OO programming.
  • Any experience in Objective-C or Swift will be added benefit.
  • Experience in J2EE, PL/SQL is required.
  • Must possess excellent verbal & written communication skills
  • Basic knowledge of Eclipse is preferable.
  • Experience in ITSM and Waterfall/Agile processes and SDLC lifecycle.
  • Should be BTech/BE/MCA/MSc (Computer Science) from recognized Institute/ University.
