ob descriptionResponsibilitiesThe Bridge Engineer shall be responsible for supervising the works of existing or proposed bridges, interchanges and any other structure related to the Project Highway. He shall undertake structure condition survey once in a year and submit an exclusive report on repair and rehabilitation requirements of bridges/ structures. He shall also inspect the bridge rehabilitation and repair works which are required to be undertaken by the Concessionaire. He shall review and suggest modifications to the maintenance manual / programmed relating to his dutiesWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Bridge Engineer to join our team as a SupervisorIn this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the construction, repair, and maintenance of bridgesYou will ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety and quality standardsThe ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering, with a focus on bridge construction and supervisionKey Responsibilities:Project Supervision:Supervise bridge construction and maintenance projects from start to finishEnsure that construction activities adhere to project specifications, safety regulations, and quality standardsConduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and identify potential issuesTeam Management:Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and construction crews to establish project goals and timelinesProvide guidance and direction to site personnel, ensuring efficient collaboration and high productivityTrain and mentor junior engineers and construction staffQuality Control:Implement and enforce quality control measures to guarantee the integrity and safety of bridge structuresReview and approve construction materials, methods, and equipment to meet project requirementsConduct quality assurance tests and inspections to verify compliance with industry standardsDocumentation and Reporting:Maintain detailed records of project activities, including daily progress reports, inspection records, and as-built drawingsPrepare comprehensive reports for project stakeholders, highlighting key milestones, challenges, and resolutionsCompliance and Safety:Ensure that all construction activities comply with relevant building codes, regulations, and safety standardsIdentify potential safety hazards and implement corrective actions to mitigate risksCollaborate with regulatory agencies to obtain necessary permits and approvalsProblem Solving:Address engineering and construction challenges proactively, finding innovative solutions to ensure project successCollaborate with design engineers to resolve any discrepancies between design plans and on-site conditionsQualifications:Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or a related field; Masters degree is a plusProfessional Engineer (PE) license is highly desirableExtensive experience in bridge construction and supervision, with a proven track record of successful project deliveryStrong knowledge of engineering principles, construction techniques, and materialsExcellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environmentProficiency in relevant engineering software and toolsKnowledge of industry regulations, codes, and standards related to bridge construction and safety Preferred candidate profileGraduate in Civil Engineering from a recognized University. 5 to 10 years experience in Construction / Construction Supervision of bridge / interchange / any other structures 3 years experience in similar capacity in Construction / Construction Supervision of bridge / interchange / any other Structures including rehabilitation iv. At least one project should involve work of 4/6 laning/expressways or similar project. Professional Experience of 15 years. Must be familiar with modern methods of construction of bridges/ROB/flyover involving RCC/pre-stress concrete, design standards, technical specifications and statistical Quality Control/Assurance procedures for construction of different component of bridges. Experience in similar capacity in supervision of 2 Major Highway Bridges on Pile/Well foundation.
