Mobile Device Management (AirWatch /JAMF)

Job Description

Role Overview:As a Platform Administrator, your main responsibility will be to deploy, configure, and maintain AirWatch for Android devices and JAMF for Apple devices to manage corporate mobile devices effectively. You will also be in charge of enrolling macOS devices into the AirWatch/Workspace ONE UEM environment and configuring device-level restrictions, Wi-Fi, and VPN settings using profiles.Key Responsibilities:- Platform Administration: Deploy, configure, and maintain AirWatch (for Android) and JAMF (for Apple devices) for managing corporate mobile devices effectively.- Device Enrollment & Configuration: Enroll macOS devices into the AirWatch/Workspace ONE UEM environment, configure device-level restrictions, Wi-Fi, and VPN settings using profiles, and integrate with Apple Business Manager (ABM) and Android Enterprise for automated device enrollment.- Policy & Configuration: Define and enforce security policies, including device encryption, password complexity, secure connectivity, and app restrictions.- User & Device Enrollment: Build and manage secure device enrollment processes, both bulk and self-service.- App Management: Oversee app deployments, manage corporate apps on managed devices, distribute, monitor, and update both in-house and third-party applications and web clips on macOS devices.- Technical Support: Provide Tier 2/3 technical support for mobile device and MDM platform issues and escalations.- Compliance & Security: Ensure devices and applications comply with corporate security standards and policies.- Performance & Monitoring: Monitor platform performance and system health to ensure optimal operation.- Integration: Integrate the MDM platform with other IT systems, such as Azure AD for access controls.- Documentation & Training: Create technical documentation and provide training for IT staff and end users.Qualification Required:- MDM Expertise: Excellent skill in AirWatch and/or JAMF administration and configuration.- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of mobile device management principles, security, and compliance.- Troubleshooting: Excellent logical thinking, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.- Communication: Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with IT and end-users.- Platform Knowledge: Specific knowledge of Android Enterprise for AirWatch and native Apple features for JAMF.
