The role involves analysing market trends, competitor benchmarking, defining cost-effective specifications, preparing BOMs and coordinating with vendors and internal teams. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge, market awareness, and vendor management skills to deliver high-quality, competitive bicycle products on time.Industry- EV Vehicle, Bicycle, AutomobilesKey Responsibilities:1. Product Planning & Specification DevelopmentCollaborate with cross-functional teams to define product concepts and specifications aligned with market needs.Determine cost-effective yet high-performance components and materials for new modelsPrepare comprehensive Bill of Materials (BOM) with detailed specifications2. Market Research & Competitor BenchmarkingConduct in-depth benchmarking of competitors across online platforms and offline retail marketsIdentify current trends, consumer preferences and innovative features in the bicycle categoryAnalyze competitor specifications and pricing strategies to enhance product competitiveness3. Vendor Coordination & Cost OptimizationEngage with vendors to finalize product specifications and ensure timely component availabilityNegotiate pricing and commercial terms with suppliers to meet target cost and quality standards4. Project Execution & Cross-functional AlignmentManage the end-to-end product development cycle, including timelines, deliverables and issue resolutionCoordinate with design, sourcing, QA, and manufacturing teams to ensure smooth executionRigorous follow-ups with vendors & progress updates to internal stakeholders and leadership5. Prototyping, Tooling & Sample PreparationOversee prototype development, including drawing creation, sample approval and testingSupport the design and development of tooling, jigs and fixtures as requiredKey Skills:B.E./B.Tech. in Industrial, Mechanical, Production or related field3 to 5 years of experience in new product development, preferably in bicycles or Auto(2W) sectorProficient in preparing and managing BOMs and technical specificationsKnowledge of bicycle components, materials, and frame geometryHands-on experience with CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD)Vendor sourcing, evaluation, and cost negotiation skills Familiarity with compliance standards (ISO, EN, BIS)Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilityEffective communication skills and ability to collaborate across teamsComfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment,
