Job Description

    Assistant to AdvocatePosition Title: Advocate AssistantJob Overview:We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Advocate Assistant to support a legal professional in managing daily tasks and responsibilities. The ideal candidate will assist in legal research, document preparation, client communication, and general administrative tasks. This role requires a keen attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a basic understanding of legal procedures.Key Responsibilities:1. Administrative Support:Manage and organize the advocates schedule, appointments, and court dates.Handle emails, phone calls, and correspondence on behalf of the advocate.Maintain records and filing systems for legal documents and case files.2. Legal Assistance:Conduct research on legal cases, precedents, and statutes as directed.Assist in drafting and proofreading legal documents, contracts, and agreements.Prepare case summaries, briefing notes, and court submissions.3. Client Coordination:Serve as a point of contact for clients and address their queries.Arrange meetings with clients and other legal professionals.Ensure confidentiality in all client-related matters.4. Court Support:Coordinate and prepare case files for court hearings.Ensure all required documents are ready and available for proceedings.Accompany the advocate to court when necessary and take notes during hearings.Qualifications and Skills:Bachelors degree (preferably in law or a related field).Prior experience in a legal setting is preferred but not mandatory.Strong organizational and multitasking skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (additional languages are a plus).Proficiency in MS Office and legal research tools.Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.Additional Requirements:Flexibility to work extended hours, if needed.A proactive attitude and the ability to work independently.Familiarity with local legal practices and procedures is an advantage.How to Apply:Interested candidates are requested to send their resume and a cover letter to [hidden_email].
