Job Description

Job Title: Plant Head - Lead Acid BatteryReports to: Managing DirectorLocation: Meerut, Uttar PradeshJob Summary:We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Plant Head to lead our Lead Acid Battery manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of plant operations, ensuring efficient production, quality control, and compliance with safety and environmental regulations.Key Responsibilities:Plant Operations: Manage daily plant operations, including production planning, scheduling, and execution. Ensure efficient use of resources, including labor, materials, and equipment.Quality Control: Implement and maintain quality control processes to ensure products meet customer requirements and industry standards. Conduct regular quality audits and address any deficiencies.Safety and Environment: Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations, including OSHA and EPA guidelines. Implement and maintain safety protocols, including training programs for employees.Team Management: Lead and manage a team of production supervisors, quality control specialists, and other support staff. Provide coaching, training, and development opportunities to enhance team performance.Cost Control: Monitor and control plant expenses, including labor, materials, and overhead costs. Identify areas for cost reduction and implement cost-saving initiatives.Customer Satisfaction: Ensure customer requirements are met, and customer complaints are addressed promptly. Develop and maintain relationships with key customers.Experience Requirement: Bachelors degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical), or a related field. Minimum 10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the battery industry. Proven track record of plant management, including experience with production planning, quality control, and safety management. Skills: Strong leadership and management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to analyse problems and implement effective solutions. Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations.Preferred Qualifications: Masters degree in Engineering or Business Administration. Certification in quality management (e.g., Six Sigma) or safety management (e.g., OSHA).
