Job Description

    Job Title: MerchandiserCompany: Vats SportsLocation: MeerutEmployment Type: Full-TimeJob Summary:Vats Sports is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Merchandiser to oversee and manage merchandising operations. This role involves managing product assortment, collaborating with suppliers, manufacturers, and retailers to ensure proper execution of merchandising plans, monitoring inventory levels, and ensuring product presentation aligns with our brands goals.Key Responsibilities: Product Assortment Planning: Develop and execute product assortment plans in alignment with Vats Sports brand strategy, ensuring the right product mix and inventory levels to meet market demand. Supplier Coordination: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely production, quality, and delivery of goods. Reporting and Documentation: Maintaining accurate records of sampling and production details. Prepare regular reports for management on product performance and merchandising strategies. Internal & External Communication- A merchandiser has to communicate not only with the customers but also with other departments inside the factory. Sampling- It is one of the most important tasks for all the sports merchandisers. Here, samples have to be developed here such as proto sample, with logo placing, colours for buyer approval. Taking Responsibility for Inspection- Inspection should be done timely before shipping the product to the buyer. Here, merchandiser plays a significant role to inspect the product by using strong quality department or third-party quality inspector.Required Skills and Qualifications: Education: Bachelors degree in Merchandising, Business, or a related field. English Speaking is must Experience: 1-3 years of experience in merchandising, retail, or product management, preferably within the sports or apparel industry. Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills to interpret sales data and market trends for effective decision-making. Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational and time management skills for handling multiple product lines, suppliers, and projects simultaneously. Negotiation Skills: Strong negotiation skills for coordinating with suppliers on pricing, terms, and product specifications. Technical Proficiency: Familiar with inventory management software, MS Excel, and other relevant tools for data tracking and analysis.
