    Job Code: FC/A/002 Job Title: Senior Accountant Opening Date: 2024-10-09 Closing Date: 2024-10-30 Min Experience: Minimum 3-4 years IIMT University is seeking a highly experienced Senior Accountant to join our Finance & Accounts team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in financial management, proficiency in Tally and Microsoft Excel, and the ability to lead accounting operations. As a Senior Accountant, you will ensure the smooth functioning of the finance department, oversee financial reporting, and guide junior team members.Location: IIMT University, MeerutDepartment: Finance & AccountsReports To: Finance Manager / Head of FinanceKey Responsibilities Oversee Financial Operations: Manage and supervise day-to-day accounting activities, ensuring accuracy and adherence to financial regulations. Advanced Tally Operations: Manage all advanced functionalities in Tally, including maintaining complex financial reports, ledgers, and auditing entries. Financial Reporting: Prepare, analyze, and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports. Budget Management: Develop and oversee budgeting processes, monitor expenditure, and ensure the alignment of financial planning with organizational goals. Reconciliation & Auditing: Conduct thorough reconciliations of bank accounts, ledgers, and vendor accounts, ensuring all discrepancies are identified and resolved. Support internal and external audits. Compliance & Taxation: Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, including GST, TDS, and income tax filings. Cost Analysis: Perform cost analysis to identify trends and opportunities for financial improvement, providing insights for decision-making. Mentorship & Leadership: Lead and mentor junior accountants, providing guidance and overseeing their development. Internal Controls: Establish and maintain effective internal control systems for financial operations.Qualifications & Skills Educational Qualification: Bachelors degree in Commerce, Finance, or a related field. A Masters degree in Finance or Accounting, or CA/ICWA qualification, is preferred. Experience: Minimum 3-4 years of experience in accounting, with at least 3 years in a senior or supervisory role, preferably in an educational or large-scale organization. Software Proficiency: Advanced expertise in Tally ERP and expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel (financial modeling, macros, advanced data analysis). Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage multiple accounting functions efficiently. Analytical Skills: Strong analytical abilities to conduct financial planning, analysis, and forecasting. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with various departments and external stakeholders. Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in financial data entry, reporting, and audits. Organizational Skills: Strong time management and organizational abilities to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.Work ConditionsFull-time, on-site position at IIMT University, Meerut.
