Job Description

    Job Title: Chartered Accountant (CA)Location: KurlaDepartment: Finance/AccountsReports To: Finance Manager / CFORole Overview:The Chartered Accountant (CA) will play a pivotal role in overseeing the companys financial operations and ensuring compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and industry-specific financial requirements. This role is key to supporting strategic decision-making and ensuring the organizations financial health, particularly in the areas of vehicle manufacturing, sales, service, and parts divisions.Key Responsibilities:
    • Financial Reporting & Analysis:
      • Prepare, review, and ensure timely and accurate financial statements (balance sheets, P&L, cash flow) in compliance with accounting principles and regulations.
      • Analyze financial data to provide insights on profitability, cost management, and budgeting.
      • Prepare financial reports and deliver them to senior management, guiding strategic business decisions.
    • Compliance & Regulatory Filings:
      • Ensure compliance with all statutory regulations including income tax, GST, VAT, and other relevant tax laws.
      • Oversee the preparation and submission of tax returns, ensuring deadlines are met and minimizing liabilities.
      • Manage relationships with tax authorities and auditors during audits, investigations, and assessments.
      • Stay updated on regulatory changes, specifically in the automotive sector, to ensure timely adjustments in accounting processes.
    • Budgeting & Forecasting:
      • Lead the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial planning.
      • Work with different departments to create realistic financial projections, and monitor progress against budgeted targets.
      • Advise management on cost-saving strategies, efficient resource allocation, and areas of financial improvement.
    • Audit & Internal Controls:
      • Manage internal audits and work with external auditors to ensure the accuracy of financial reporting and ensure audit readiness.
      • Implement and review internal control systems to safeguard company assets and prevent fraud.
      • Develop processes to improve the accuracy of financial data and efficiency in financial operations.
    • Cash Flow & Working Capital Management:
      • Oversee cash flow management, including receivables and payables, to ensure sufficient liquidity for daily operations.
      • Monitor and optimize working capital, including inventory management related to vehicle parts and raw materials.
      • Advise on short-term and long-term funding strategies, including loans, credit lines, and vendor financing.
    • Taxation & Risk Management:
      • Provide expert advice on tax planning, structuring, and optimization, specifically in relation to automotive manufacturing and sales.
      • Ensure compliance with indirect tax regulations (GST/VAT) for vehicle sales, parts, and services.
      • Identify and manage financial risks, including foreign exchange risks, interest rate fluctuations, and material cost increases.
    • Strategic Support:
      • Act as a key advisor to senior management on strategic financial decisions such as capital investments, mergers, acquisitions, or joint ventures.
      • Provide financial inputs for pricing decisions, including cost analysis for vehicle manufacturing and parts procurement.
      • Assist in developing business strategies related to vehicle sales, service departments, and international markets.
    Key Skills and Qualifications:
    • Education:
      • Chartered Accountant (CA) certification.
      • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
    • Experience:
      • Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting/finance, preferably in the automobile or manufacturing industry.
      • Strong experience in financial reporting, tax compliance, and financial analysis.
      • Exposure to ERP and accounting software (e.g., SAP, Tally, or similar).
    • Technical Skills:
      • In-depth knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS, GAAP), tax laws, and industry-specific regulations (automobile sector).
      • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, financial modeling, and accounting software.
      • Ability to interpret complex financial data and communicate it effectively to non-finance stakeholders.
    • Soft Skills:
      • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
      • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
      • High attention to detail with a focus on accuracy.
      • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with various departments and external partners.
