You will lead a team of credit professionals, ensuring adherence to credit policies, mitigating risks, and maintaining high-quality lending practices while achieving business objectives.Location/Zone: West ZoneJob description: Lead and manage the credit assessment process within the zone, ensuring timely and accurate credit decisions for various financing applications. Develop, implement, and enforce robust credit policies and procedures tailored specifically for financing, aligned with regulatory standards and Company guidelines. Mentor, train, and supervise a team of credit officers, ensuring adherence to credit underwriting guidelines and fostering a culture of excellence. Evaluate applications, assess the creditworthiness of applicants, and make informed recommendations based on risk analysis and business viability within the vehicle finance segment. Collaborate closely with various departments including sales, risk management, and operations to streamline credit processes and achieve business objectives. Monitor portfolio quality specific to vehicle financing, identify potential risks, and develop proactive strategies to mitigate credit losses in this segment. Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure strict compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and specific guidelines related to the industry. Provide guidance and support to branches or units within the zone on credit-related matters. Prepare comprehensive reports on credit performance, trends, and actionable recommendations for Senior Management. Build & fortify credit team, plan product & credit strategy, and strengthen presence in key target markets Assess and set credit policies and procedures that provide for smooth credit evaluation with in specified TATs while also ensuring that asset quality is maintained and opportunity for fraud is minimized Identify and lead initiatives for process improvement and technology adoption for risk management, reporting and operations managementStrategy and Execution: Analyze and review the market trends/ competitor activities to capitalize on opportunities Set and develop credit policies and procedures that provide for best-in-class TAT and maintain asset quality Build and execute action plans that support the credit and go-to-market strategy Evaluate and incorporate inputs from sales and collections team in credit processes/operations Provide inputs on products and pricing strategy to win in the market and evolve to market changes Provide inputs to product development teams and marketing teams for negating any adverse market trends including opportunity to commit fraud and controlling for the same Establish suitable review and monitoring cadence with credit teams and branches Support the IT team in data requirements, development of new systems to drive growth and transparencyRequirement And Experience: Bachelors degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. Masters degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CA/ICWA/MBA Finance) is advantageous. Relevant experience (10 years) in credit management or a similar role within the vehicle finance segment, preferably within a financial institution or bank. Strong work ethic driven towards success and has a passion for growing and developing organizations.
