As a Data Engineer/Data Scientist, your role will involve working with Python, pandas, SQL, and data analysis to map data into new data models with tested code. You will be responsible for deep diving into complex datasets and delivering impactful results independently. Your key responsibilities will include:- Bridging business needs and technical development by translating requirements into actionable solutions.- Utilizing Python (pandas), SQL, and Excel for exploratory analysis, reporting, and process optimization.- Conducting back-testing and validating solutions to ensure audit compliance and operational readiness.- Mapping data into new data models with robust, tested code.- Demonstrating strong communication skills through clear documentation and stakeholder-facing presentations.Your mandatory skills should include proficiency in Pandas, PostgreSQL, Python Testing, with over 5 years of experience as a Data Engineer. Additionally, having a background in Technical Business Analysis would be preferred and advantageous.In terms of technical skills, you should be proficient in:- Programming: Python, pandas, NumPy, SQL- Data Management: PostgreSQL, SQLite, CSV- Testing: Unit Testing, Integration Testing, CI/CD Pipelines- Tools: Git, Jupyter NotebooksNice-to-have skills for this role may include Python programming, familiarity with other programming languages and frameworks, knowledge of software design patterns and architectural principles, exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP), experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized deployments, relevant certifications (cloud, programming, Agile), and a background in static reference data or payments systems.Please note, only applications with a notice period of less than 30 days will be accepted for this position.
