Job Description

    Job Title: Fleet ManagerLocation: [Mumabai ]Department: OperationsReports To: Operations Manager / Logistics ManagerJob Overview:We are looking for a skilled and proactive Fleet Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our vehicle fleet. The ideal candidate will manage the procurement, maintenance, and operations of the fleet, ensuring the vehicles are always in optimal condition and compliant with all legal regulations. As the Fleet Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring operational efficiency, cost management, and safety standards.Key Responsibilities:
    • Fleet Maintenance and Management:
      • Oversee and manage all company vehicles, including trucks, cars, and other transportation equipment.
      • Ensure that all vehicles are properly maintained, serviced, and inspected regularly to minimize downtime.
      • Develop and implement a preventative maintenance schedule for fleet vehicles.
    • Fleet Procurement:
      • Work closely with senior management to plan the acquisition and disposal of vehicles, ensuring that fleet size aligns with business needs.
      • Research and identify cost-effective vehicle models that meet operational requirements.
    • Budgeting and Cost Management:
      • Manage fleet budgets, including maintenance, fuel, repairs, and vehicle leasing or purchase.
      • Track and analyze vehicle-related costs, identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
    • Compliance and Safety:
      • Ensure all fleet operations comply with local, state, and federal regulations regarding transportation, safety, and environmental laws.
      • Monitor driver behavior, ensuring adherence to company policies and regulatory standards.
      • Conduct regular safety audits and implement improvements as necessary.
    • Fleet Performance:
      • Track vehicle performance metrics and report on fleet efficiency, usage, and safety.
      • Develop reports and key performance indicators (KPIs) related to fleet operations, providing updates to senior management.
    • Driver Management:
      • Manage and oversee drivers, ensuring they receive proper training and certification.
      • Implement and enforce safe driving practices to minimize accidents and reduce liability.
    • Vendor Management:
      • Liaise with third-party service providers, including repair shops, fuel suppliers, and leasing companies.
      • Negotiate contracts, monitor service levels, and ensure vendors meet operational requirements.
