Job Description

    Section I: Basic information on the role
    • Job Title General Manager
    • Location:Navi Mumbai
    Section II: Job Purpose
    • The primary objective this Job role is to ensure smooth operation of the Research Lab at various locations and to deliver the technology to manufacturing sites.
    Section III: Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities of the role
    • Managing the scientific manpower, supporting staff to ease of operation.
    • Conversant & Liasoning with Govt. Authorities like Excise, Pollution Control Boards (MPCB), Factory Inspector, MIDC, CETP, Labour Commissioner, NMMC, etc.
    • To prepare documents & update the CSIR & DSIR Approvals & Reorganization of Research Labs at different locations
    • To design and synthesize New Products aimed by adding value to the existing products as per direction by Corporate R & D.
    • To suggest improvements in existing processes, process chemistry, and recovery of solvents, raw materials & to reduce the production cost.
    • To optimize the process to be economically & technically viable.
    • To plan & organize experimental work related to the projects assigned.
    • To conduct pilot plant trials and further scaling-up of process developed followed by implementation at plant scale.
    • Maintain updated knowledge of regulatory requirements and coordinate with regulatory affairs teams to facilitate timely product registrations.
    • Update knowledge of new analytical techniques, PC operations and monitoring general planning, administration of the Lab
    • Supervise and guide subordinates and colleagues in theoretical and experimental work.
    • Co-ordinate the research activities with the Interdisciplinary Teams and with HO and Labs at different locations
    • Collaborate with research institutes, equipment & technology suppliers to incorporate the suitable processes in new and existing pilot or commercial plants.
    • To maintain & run the Lab as per GLP and Implementing safety precautions under GMP & GLP Guidelines
    • Job scheduling & resource utilization during Research work.
    Section V: Knowledge, Experience & SkillsEducational Qualifications / Experience The Candidate should M.Sc/ Ph.D with Organic Chemistry or M.Tech/Ph.D in Chemical Engineering with minium 20 years experience with ResearchKey Competencies1. The person should have an Very Good Analytical Thinking Skills2. The person should have very Good Troubleshooting Skills3. The person should have very Good System Orientation4. The person should have good Communication skills5. The person should have good Time & Team management along with Leadership Quality
