Job Description

    Job Purpose:The Survey Engineer is one of the members of a survey team and is responsible for conducting the technical job like calibrations and mobilization of equipment on the vessel or job site. The engineer is also responsible to maintain the smooth functioning of all the equipment and troubleshooting. He is also responsible for making the daily report and a complete submission of the report after the completion of the job.Organizational Context1) Reports to Resource Manager for day to day administration, training, competence building and competence assessment activities.2) Whilst on field jobs, he will report to the Party Chief / Project Manager for discharging of duties and responsibilities as assigned.3) Coordinate with Clients rep in the field for day to day operations in the field.4) Whilst in office, report to the RM/SM for the execution of the tasks assigned.5) To work on the field when deputed and to co-ordinate with all the crew members to prepare daily reports and to execute the project.Key ResponsibilitiesThe Survey Engineer is one of the members of a survey team and is responsible for conducting the technical job like calibrations and mobilization of equipment on the vessel or job site. He is also responsible for making the daily report and a complete submission of the report after the completion of the job:1)Responsible for identification and traceability of incoming faulty equipment, carrying out inspection, repair and identifying equipment status.2)Responsible for Job preparation and testing of equipment prior to mobilisation.3)Responsible for mobilisation of equipment4)Responsible for calibration, installation, operation and maintenance of equipment deployed in the field.5)Operation and basic troubleshooting of equipment deployed in the field.6)Data acquisition as per scope, specification and schedule as briefed by PC / PM.7)Responsible for ensuring safe working environment at site. Actively participate in Operations, Quality Assurance and HSE group meetings.8)Archival, back-up and custody of all data logged in the field.9)Preparation of mobilisation and De-mobilisation Reports, and handing over of the same with all data logged in original to the FSINPVT Survey Manager on demob.10)To prepare survey procedures and reports whilst in office as directed by RM/SM. 11)Any other work as assigned by the CompanyEducation- Graduate or Diploma in Engineering or Equivalent course or Indian NavySkills Required-1)2 years of experience in offshore surveys (onsite).2) Knowledge of relevant equipment and software in use.3) High degree of technical reporting skills in English languageIf interested, kindly apply or share CV at hidden_email
