Job Description

    Job Title: Safety Officer Company: Dabur India Limited1. Safety Compliance:
    • Implement and enforce safety regulations, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with local, national, and international standards.
    • Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and risks in the workplace.
    • Collaborate with relevant departments to address safety concerns and develop corrective actions.
    2. Training and Education:
    • Organize and conduct safety training sessions for employees to promote awareness and understanding of safety protocols.
    • Provide guidance and resources to employees on safe work practices and procedures.
    • Keep abreast of industry trends and best practices in occupational health and safety to continually improve training programs.
    3. Incident Management:
    • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and implement preventative measures.
    • Maintain accurate records of safety-related incidents and ensure timely reporting to relevant authorities.
    • Develop and implement emergency response plans to effectively manage crisis situations.
    4. Safety Culture Promotion:
    • Promote a culture of safety and accountability throughout the organization.
    • Encourage employee involvement in safety initiatives and programs.
    • Recognize and reward individuals and teams for their contributions to maintaining a safe work environment.
    5. Regulatory Compliance:
    • Stay updated on changes to safety regulations and standards applicable to the industry.
    • Ensure all safety-related documentation and permits are up-to-date and in compliance with regulatory requirements.
    • Liaise with regulatory agencies and authorities as necessary to address safety-related matters.
    Requirements:
    • Bachelors degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field.
    • Certification in Occupational Health and Safety (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA) preferred.
    • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in the manufacturing or FMCG industry.
    • Strong knowledge of safety regulations and standards.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to effectively train and educate employees on safety practices.
    • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
