Job Description

    Specification Paint Industry R&D of and New product development of (waterproofing expert) Position Name Exe/Sr.Exe Paints (Waterproof decorative paints)Department R&D - PaintsJob location Head Office - MhapeRole Description The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of water-based decorative waterproof paints. The role will conduct experiments & evaluate products. Develop guidelineformulations. Evaluation of raw materials and finished good samples.Impact of the Role in Company Evaluation of raw materials and finished good samples/Job Responsibility Development and formulation of water-based interior and exterior waterproof decorative paints, ensuring performance, aesthetics, and regulatory compliance.Testing of paint formulations to ensure they meet company quality standards and performance criteria.Work closely with the production team to ensure smooth scale-up of formulations from laboratories to commercial production.Stay up to date with industry trends. Provide recommendations for new product development based on market insights and consumer demand. Conduct competitive analysis toidentify potential opportunities for new or improved product offerings.Provide technical support to the sales team regarding product performance, application methods, and troubleshooting. Address and resolve customer query in a timely andprofessional manner.Maintain accurate records of all product formulations and testing data. Prepare detailed technical reports on new product developments, performance testing, and quality controlresults.Complaint handling, root cause analysis and resolutionsKey Technical Skills Technical Skills: Knowledge of paint formulations, Testing, pigments, and EmulsionCompetencies Drive for Results, Ensure accountability , Action OrientationTeam Handling RoleNoReplacement/New NewTotal Exp Experience: 2-7 years experience within the paint/Coating industry with specific expertise in waterproofing decorative Interior and exterior water-based paintsQualification Education: Masters degree in chemistry, B.Tech/M.Tech/B.E. in Paint/Oil, Diploma in Chemical Engineering or a related field is preferredConfidentialNoImportant Comments Handling of Paint processing and testing instruments.Should have the knowledge of all the testing parameters of Paints, pigments, additives, Emulsions e.tc. as per the standard practice
