As the first in-house finance hire at SixSense, your role will be crucial in managing finance operations across multiple entities and ensuring accurate financial reporting for leadership, investors, and external stakeholders. Here is a breakdown of your responsibilities and key qualifications required for this position:Role Overview:You will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day finance operations, financial control, planning, and investor readiness across Singapore, the United States, and India.Key Responsibilities:- Run reliable day-to-day finance operations through internal coordination and outsourced partners- Ensure monthly financial numbers are accurate, consistent, and audit-ready- Support investor reporting, fundraising readiness, and due diligence- Coordinate finance processes across different countries and assist in future structure changes, including a possible headquarters move to the United StatesQualifications Required:- 3-6 years of experience in finance- Strong financial discipline and reporting mindset- Startup builder mindset with a practical and resourceful approach- Experience in multi-country finance operations and fundraising support preferred- Chartered Accountant or equivalent foundation preferredIn addition to the above responsibilities, your role will involve three key levels of emphasis over the next 12 months:Level 1: Finance operations and outsourced partner management (25%)- Manage outsourced accounting, bookkeeping, and tax partners- Ensure timely invoicing, payment tracking, and vendor management- Maintain organized finance documentation and track compliance deadlinesLevel 2: Financial control, monthly close, and management reporting (40%)- Own the monthly close process and review financial statements- Establish and maintain finance policies and approval controls- Coordinate with external accountants and auditors for auditsLevel 3: Planning, investor readiness, and cross-border finance projects (35%)- Build and maintain revenue, expense, and cash forecasts- Support cost efficiency analysis and spending optimization- Prepare finance inputs for board and investor reportingSuccess in this role will be defined by:- Reliable finance operations without constant oversight- Timely and accurate monthly financial reporting- Clear visibility on cash runway and forecast scenarios for leadership- Support for fundraising and due diligence with clean finance data- Early identification and management of cross-border finance risksIf you are a hands-on, ownership-driven finance professional with a strong financial background and a startup builder mindset, this role at SixSense may be the right fit for you.
