Together, were working at the pace of change to improve patient lives with diagnostic tools that address the worlds biggest health challenges.Position OverviewThe Sales and Application Specialist for Leica Biosystems is responsible for sales activities in New Zealand as well as providing first line technical support to Leica Biosystems customers.This position is part of the Sales and Application team located in New Zealand and will be fully remote. At Leica Biosystems, our vision is to advance cancer diagnostics and improve lives.You will be a part of the Australia New Zealand Selling Unit and report to the Country Manager New Zealand responsible for execution of the market specific sales initiatives and providing technical support to customers.   • Manage direct sales in NZ
  • Provide monthly forecasts via opportunities in SFDC
  • Seek new opportunities to grow the business
  • Conduct demonstrations & evaluations
  • Perform product optimization at customer sites
  • Consult & support customers with selection and application of products
Essential RequirementsThe essential requirements of the job include:
  • Previous hands-on experience in a Lab environment (either in an anatomical pathology lab or diagnostic pathology)
  • Extensive Applications experience in life science / clinical Laboratory fields, with an interest in getting exposure to Sales
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Clear customer focus with a strong ability to understand and provide solutions for customers needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements
  • Ability to travel 30 PERCENT travel, overnight, within territory or locations
  • Must have a valid drivers license with an acceptable driving record
