Job Description

Role Description Database Management & Maintenance: Perform build, upgrade, patching, migration, and maintenance activities for MSSQL, MongoDB, MySQL-RDS, and PostgreSQL databases. Configure and execute disaster recovery (DR) processes, including failover and switchover activities. Monitor and resolve database job failures and ensure high availability. Handle multiple assignments and deliver high-quality solutions simultaneously.Required SkillsMandatory Skills: MSSQL administration with hands-on experience in switchover and failover operations. Goldengate for data replication and synchronization across environments. Oracle Enterprise Manager for database monitoring and performance tuning. Expertise in Always On, Log Shipping, and Replication of MSSQL databases.Database Platforms MSSQL, MongoDB, MySQL-RDS, and PostgreSQL Provisioning, configuration, and maintenance. Ability to manage large databases (3TB in size).Cloud & Automation Expertise Cloud Platforms: Strong expertise in GCP, AWS, and Azure environments. Database as a Service (DBaaS): Experience with AWS RDS, Google Cloud SQL, and equivalent. Version Control & Automation Tools: Hands-on experience with Praxis and GitHub for automation and version management.Preferred Skills Experience with multi-cloud environments and managing complex hybrid databases. Knowledge of scripting and automation to optimize database management. Ability to design, implement, and monitor high-availability and disaster recovery (HA/DR) solutions.Education & Experience Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field. 10 years of professional experience in MSSQL/MongoDB/MySQL database administration.Certifications (Preferred) ITIL certification for process-oriented database management.
