Job Summary:As a Product Development Associate, you will support the New Product Development team in researching, conceptualizing, designing, and launching innovative beauty and grooming products. You will be involved in all stages of product development, from research and idea generation to testing and final production, ensuring each product aligns with UrbanGabru and UrbanYogs brand values and meets consumer needs.Key Responsibilities:Product Ideation & Research: Assist in generating new product ideas and supporting the development of product concepts for beauty and grooming lines. Conduct competitive analysis, consumer research, and trend studies to provide insights for new product development. Keep up-to-date with market trends, consumer preferences, and innovations in the beauty and grooming industry to recommend product opportunities.Product Development & Testing: Collaborate with the R&D, formulation, and packaging teams to translate concepts into product prototypes. Help manage product testing processes, including sensory evaluations, consumer trials, and stability testing, ensuring products meet the highest quality standards. Document testing results, feedback, and observations to guide product refinement.Project Coordination: Support the NPD team in coordinating activities across different departments (R&D, marketing, packaging, supply chain) to ensure timely execution of projects. Monitor and update product development timelines, ensuring projects remain on track and align with key launch deadlines. Assist in managing external relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, and third-party labs to ensure smooth product development flow.Regulatory & Compliance Support: Ensure products comply with all regulatory requirements for beauty and grooming products (ingredient safety, packaging guidelines, etc.). Assist in preparing regulatory documentation and ensure that all product ingredients and formulations adhere to the necessary standards for different markets (e.g., FDA, EU regulations).Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed records of product specifications, testing reports, formulation documents, and ingredient sources. Prepare regular reports and updates for internal stakeholders on the status of product development initiatives. Assist in creating product information sheets, packaging briefs, and other documentation required for product launch.Collaborative Support: Act as a liaison between cross-functional teams (marketing, design, operations) to ensure smooth communication and alignment. Provide support for product launch materials, including creating product descriptions, technical documents, and assisting with the development of marketing campaigns. Track and report on post-launch performance metrics, helping to identify opportunities for product optimization.Key Skills & Requirements:Experience: 1-3 years of experience in beauty and grooming product development.Education: Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, or related field. Familiarity with beauty and grooming product ingredients, formulation, and packaging.Skills: Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Good understanding of product development processes, particularly in beauty and grooming. Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively. Knowledge of regulatory guidelines for beauty and grooming products (e.g., ingredient labeling, safety protocols) is a bonus.Personality Traits: Passionate about the beauty and grooming industry, with a keen interest in the latest trends and consumer behavior.
