Job Description

    As a Software Engineer 2 at Dell Technologies, you will be part of the Software Engineering team responsible for delivering next-generation application enhancements and new products. You will work with cutting-edge technologies, tools, and methodologies while collaborating with internal and external partners. Join the PowerScale team in Bangalore or Pune to contribute to the modernization efforts of the stack for the GenAI era.**Key Responsibilities:**- Participate in the preparation, review, and evaluation of software/storage requirements and specifications.- Prepare written specifications for tasks of varied complexity based on verbal requirements.- Use defined software lifecycle methodologies.- Review and implement test strategies for software products.**Qualifications Required:**- Typically requires 3-5 years of related experience with a Bachelors degree; or an advanced degree without experience.- Solid knowledge of programming languages such as C, C, and Python; operating systems like Windows/Linux; firmware; device drivers; and databases.- Ability to code/debug moderately complex programs using written design specifications.- Knowledge of Network Attached Storage (NAS) and its application.- Good understanding of hardware and software interactions.**Desirable Qualifications:**- Knowledge of distributed software systems, protocols such as SMB, NFS, or S3 interfaces in shippable software/services.- Understanding of system calls, inter-process IPC or remote-procedure RPC calls, multiplexed I/O and concurrency models, system configuration, and memory management.Join Dell Technologies to be part of a team that believes in the power of making an impact.
