Job Description

    Key Responsibilities:
    1. Design and Engineering of Static Equipment
      • Develop detailed designs for pressure vessels, storage tanks, heat exchangers, and other static equipment in accordance with project specifications and industry standards.
    2. Preparation of Technical Documentation
      • Prepare design calculations, datasheets, drawings, and specifications for static equipment.
    3. Review of Vendor Documents
      • Review and approve vendor drawings, datasheets, and calculations to ensure compliance with project and industry standards.
    4. Material Selection and Specification
      • Select appropriate materials for equipment construction based on project needs, design conditions, and environmental factors.
    5. Coordination with Multidisciplinary Teams
      • Work closely with other engineering disciplines (process, piping, civil, and electrical) to ensure integrated design and execution of projects.
    6. Compliance with Codes and Standards
      • Ensure all designs and engineering activities comply with relevant codes, standards, and client specifications.
    7. Stress and Fatigue Analysis
      • Perform stress and fatigue analysis to evaluate mechanical integrity and safety of static equipment.
    8. Project Management Support
      • Provide support to project management teams by preparing progress reports, schedules, and cost estimates related to static equipment.
    9. Field Support and Inspection
      • Provide on-site support during construction, installation, and testing of static equipment, including inspection and troubleshooting if necessary.
    Qualifications:
    1. Educational Background
      • Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
    2. Experience
      • 5years of experience in the design and engineering of static equipment in the oil & gas, petrochemical, or power industries.
    3. Certification and Training
      • Certification in ASME, API, or similar standards is advantageous.
    4. Knowledge of Codes and Standards
      • In-depth knowledge of design codes like ASME Sec VIII, API 650, API 620, and others.
    5. Software Skills
      • Proficiency in PV Elite, COMPRESS, and other static equipment design software tools.
    6. Analytical and Problem-Solving Abilities
      • Strong skills in structural and thermal analysis, as well as proficiency in solving engineering problems.
    7. Communication Skills
      • Ability to collaborate with different departments and effectively communicate technical ideas to clients and stakeholders.
    8. Physical and Field Knowledge
      • Hands-on experience with static equipment fabrication, inspection, and testing is a plus.
