Purchasing Engineer

Job Description

You will be working as an Assistant Purchase Engineer at KTEX Nonwovens Pvt. Ltd. located in Paddadhri, Rajkot. Your primary responsibility will be to assist in managing the procurement process, evaluate supplier performance, negotiate contracts, and ensure timely delivery of materials. You will need to coordinate with the production and maintenance team to understand material requirements, handle procurement documentation, and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers.**Key Responsibilities:**- Vendor Evaluation: Assess and qualify vendors based on quality, cost, and reliability.- Cost Analysis: Perform detailed cost analyses to identify the best procurement options within budget constraints while maintaining quality standards.- Compliance Monitoring: Ensure all procurement activities comply with internal policies, external regulations, and local purchasing standards, including preparing BOQs and executing purchases.- Order Management: Manage the entire ordering process from requisition to delivery, ensuring timeliness and accuracy. Implement emergency plans for purchasing critical items when necessary.- Supplier Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure long-term partnerships and explore cost-saving opportunities.- Technical Liaison: Act as the point of contact between engineering departments and suppliers, ensuring technical specifications are met and resolving any issues that arise.**Qualifications:**- Procurement and Vendor Management skills- Contract Negotiation and Evaluation skills- Knowledge of Supply Chain Management- Excellent Communication and Interpersonal skills- Ability to analyze and interpret data- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills- Qualification: Diploma/B.
