Job Description

    As a Safety Department professional, your primary responsibility will be to define and enforce health & safety policies, procedures, guidelines, and instructions in accordance with ISO 45001 standards. It will be crucial to ensure compliance with all legal requirements related to health and safety within the organization.You will be required to conduct Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA) as well as Aspect Impact assessments periodically. Additionally, conducting safety audits, identifying gaps, and collaborating with relevant functions to implement corrective and preventive actions will be part of your routine tasks.Regular workplace safety inspections must be conducted to identify potential hazards and unsafe conditions. Monitoring that all employees adhere to safety procedures while on the job is essential. Accidents and near-misses should be recorded, analyzed, and appropriate corrective & preventive actions taken to prevent their recurrence. Documentation related to incidents should be submitted, and reports should be presented to the management.Training employees on safety practices and standards to foster a safe working culture and mindset will be a key aspect of your role. You will also define, implement, and maintain an emergency preparedness and response plan.As part of your responsibilities, you will conduct safety committee meetings regularly, define and monitor actions and their effectiveness. Ensuring the adequacy and safety of all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), machines, tools, and equipment for use is crucial. Organizing mock drills and exercises to manage emergency situations will also be part of your duties.Maintenance, periodic inspection, and calibration of fire and safety equipment, lifting equipment, pressure vessels, and hazardous equipment are essential tasks. You will be required to conduct HSE review meetings, prepare minutes, monitor actions, and report to the management.Providing safety induction to new employees, defining and maintaining a work permit system for outsiders, and organizing campaigns and activities to educate and motivate employees on safety awareness are integral parts of your role. Displaying safety signage and posters on the factory premises to create awareness among workers will also be necessary.Preferred qualifications for this position include a B.Tech/B.E. degree in Any Specialization or a Diploma in Any Specialization. A minimum of 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in safety is required for this role. This position is based in Rajkot, and the organization is looking to fill one position.,
