Job Description

Business Development Manager – Sales and Services (Mutual Funds & Insurance)Location: RanchiExperience Required: 5–8 years in business development, sales, and team management, preferably in Mutual Funds, Insurance, or Financial Services.Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (MBA preferred). Preferred: MBA or certifications like NISM-Series V-A (Mutual Fund Distributors) and IRDA certification for life insurance sales---Key Responsibilities: 1. Business Development and Team LeadershipBuild, mentor, and lead a team of 15 employees to achieve sales and service objectives for mutual funds and life insurance products.Develop and implement strategies to expand the client base and grow business in alignment with organizational goals.Identify and recruit talented individuals to strengthen the team and improve overall performance.Conduct training programs to enhance the teams knowledge of products, sales techniques, and regulatory requirements.2. Sales Strategy and Target AchievementDevelop and execute business development plans to achieve sales targets for mutual fund and life insurance products.Set measurable performance goals for team members and monitor progress through regular reviews.Drive client acquisition efforts through innovative lead generation strategies and networking.Promote cross-selling opportunities to maximize revenue generation from existing clients. 3. Service Excellence and Client RetentionEnsure high-quality client servicing by addressing queries, resolving issues, and maintaining strong relationships.Guide the team to deliver personalized financial solutions to meet clients investment and insurance needs.Oversee the accuracy and timeliness of documentation, KYC compliance, and after-sales support. 4. Market and Product KnowledgeStay updated on mutual fund and life insurance products, competitor offerings, and market trends.Educate the team on product features and benefits to enhance their ability to advise clients effectively.Identify market opportunities for new product offerings and develop strategies to capture them. 5. Reporting and ComplianceTrack and analyze team performance metrics and prepare detailed business reports for senior management.Ensure compliance with SEBI, AMFI, IRDAI, and company policies in all business development activities.Conduct periodic audits to ensure adherence to regulatory standards and ethical practices.
