Job Description

    As a Backend Lead at the company, you will play a crucial role in guiding the backend development team, setting engineering standards, and driving the development of scalable, high-performance microservices. Your expertise in TypeScript (Node.js), Apache Kafka, and AWS will be essential in aligning backend efforts with product and business goals. Working closely with the CTO and other department leads, you will lead a team of backend engineers towards engineering excellence.**Key Responsibilities:**- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of backend engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance engineering culture.- Provide technical direction, architectural guidance, and code quality standards.- Architect, design, and implement scalable backend systems using NestJs (TypeScript).- Own cloud infrastructure and DevOps practices using AWS services such as EKS, EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS (PostgreSQL), DynamoDB, and more.- Act as the primary liaison between the backend team and the CTO for roadmap alignment, project updates, and resource planning.- Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, frontend engineers, and QA teams to deliver end-to-end features.**Qualifications:**- 5 years of professional experience in backend development, with at least 2 years in a technical leadership role.- Proficient in NestJs (TypeScript) with a deep understanding of backend service architecture.- Strong experience with AWS ecosystem: EKS, EC2, Lambda, RDS, DynamoDB, S3, etc.- Solid understanding of system security, performance, and observability.- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code.Bonus skills such as AWS Certification(s), hands-on experience with monitoring tools like Loki, Grafana & Prometheus, and experience with Python using Flask or FastAPI would be advantageous.,
