Role Overview:As a Media Relations Specialist, your role will be crucial in managing and enhancing the companys public image and communications strategy. You will develop and implement effective media relations plans, cultivate relationships with journalists, bloggers, and influencers, and secure positive media coverage across various platforms. Your keen understanding of the media landscape, excellent communication skills, and proven ability to craft compelling press releases and media materials will be essential. Monitoring media trends, identifying opportunities for earned media, and managing crisis communications will also be part of your responsibilities. Your proactive approach to identifying and pitching compelling stories about the companys achievements and initiatives will contribute directly to the companys success.Key Responsibilities:- Develop and execute comprehensive media relations strategies.- Build and maintain strong relationships with key media contacts and influencers.- Write and distribute press releases, media advisories, and pitches.- Secure positive media coverage in relevant publications and outlets.- Monitor media coverage and industry trends, providing regular reports.- Manage media inquiries and facilitate interview requests.- Develop crisis communication plans and support their implementation.- Assist in the planning and execution of press conferences and media events.- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistent messaging.- Manage media databases and tracking systems.Qualifications:- Bachelors degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.- Minimum of 4 years of experience in media relations or public relations.- Proven track record of securing positive media coverage.- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong storytelling abilities.- Proficiency in media monitoring and social media management tools.- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.- Experience in crisis communications is a plus.- Knowledge of the Indian media landscape is advantageous.
