Job Description

    As a PHP Developer at our company, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable web applications using PHP (CodeIgniter) and MySQL. Your key responsibilities will include analysing slow-performing queries and implementing optimisation techniques such as indexing, query restructuring, and caching mechanisms. You will be expected to write clean, well-documented, and efficient code following best practices and perform regular performance tuning of MySQL databases, including stored procedures, triggers, and views.Collaboration with frontend developers and product teams to deliver robust and scalable backend solutions will be an essential part of your role. You will also need to conduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure application reliability, implement RESTful APIs, and integrate third-party solutions as required. Maintaining version control and collaborative workflows using Git will be crucial for successful project delivery.To excel in this role, you should have a strong command of PHP and MySQL, with a minimum of 2 years of experience in the CodeIgniter framework. A deep understanding of SQL query optimisation, indexing strategies, query plan analysis, and refactoring is essential. Experience in designing both normalised and denormalised schemas for high-performance use cases will be beneficial.
