Job Description

The Transport Relationship Manager (TRM) will be responsible for managing and enhancing relationships with transport vendors, overseeing efficient container shipping operations, and optimizing logistics for 2040 ft movable containers. The ideal candidate should possess prior experience in shipping and have a well-established network of industry connections.You will be expected to build and maintain strong relationships with transport vendors and shipping partners, negotiate contracts and pricing to enhance cost efficiency for container movements. Additionally, you will oversee the logistics and transportation of 2040 ft movable containers, ensuring smooth deliveries by managing shipping schedules and ensuring timely dispatch and arrival of goods.Market research will be a key aspect of your role, involving conducting market analysis to monitor freight rates and industry trends. Leveraging your existing industry relationships, you will work towards expanding the companys transport network.Ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company policies is crucial. You will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and verification of shipping documents, contracts, and agreements. Addressing transportation issues, delays, or vendor disputes effectively and implementing risk-mitigation strategies to prevent supply chain disruptions will be part of your responsibilities.You will track and report transportation Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), conduct cost analysis, and monitor vendor performance metrics. Regular updates to management on shipping efficiency and areas for improvement will also be expected.This is a full-time position with a day shift schedule and a yearly bonus. A Bachelors degree is preferred, along with at least 4 years of experience in shipping/logistics related to movable containers (2040 ft). The work location is in person.,
