Job Description

    As a Financial Accountant at the company, your role will involve the following responsibilities:- Preparation of financial statements including client financial and management accounting- Managing regulatory and compliance issues- Creating Board Packs and client benchmarking analysis- Reviewing new clients business operations and collaborating with the implementation team- Addressing queries from captive account-holders- Developing various management information reportsIn this role, you will engage in key activities such as:- Preparing Trial Balance, Income Statement, and Balance Sheet for Captive Insurance clients- Conducting accounting and financial activities like budgeting, forecasting, investment reconciliations, cash flow statements, and bank account reconciliations- Updating notes to accounts as necessary- Calculating unearned/un-expensed reinsurance reserve and Allocated Investment Income- Posting journals, preparing reconciliations, and reviewing balances- Generating management, statutory, and regulatory reports- Monitoring shareholder/Inter-company loans in compliance with state laws- Reporting on activities and providing relevant management information- Demonstrating proficiency in MS Office applications- Participating in meetings and other company functions to fulfill duties and support organizational developmentQualifications:Top 5 Competencies:- Managing Stakeholders (Good to have)- Adjusting to change (Must have)- Structuring Task (Good to have)- Presentation skills (Good to have)- Investigating Issues & Evaluating Problems (Good to have)Required Skills and Qualifications:- CA Qualified (Must have)- Good communication skills (Must have)- Self-driven, results-oriented, with a focus on high quality (Good to have)- Advanced spreadsheet skills (MS Excel) (Good to have)- Forward planner with self-assessment capabilities (Good to have)- Comfortable in dealing with senior executives (Good to have)- Emphatic communicator with a perspective-taking ability (Must have)- Presentable and businesslike (Good to have)- Willingness to travel to various locations (Must have)- Open to new experiences, responsibility, and professional development (Good to have)- Team-player mentality (Good to have)The company is committed to equal employment opportunity and provides necessary adjustments and accommodations during the application, interview, and workplace processes.
