Job Description

Role: Senior Project ManagerLocation: Remote/Thane/HyderabadYour Role:

  • Manage a portfolio of complex internal/external projects/initiatives.
  • Ensure that you/your team are working towards WOWing your client (internal or external), at all times. Ensure youre clear in advance with what your client needs in order to be WOWed - ask if youre not 101% certain.
  • Full project life cycle ownership: successful project delivery will include full implementation from initiation to deployment for one major or several minor initiatives simultaneously.
  • Work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation and excellence.
  • Participate in establishing practices, templates, policies, tools and partnerships to expand and mature these capabilities for the organization
  • Provide regular status reporting regarding project milestones, deliverable, dependencies, risks and issues, communicating across stakeholders
  • Demonstrate a functional acumen to support how solutions will address client goals while maintaining alignment with industry best practices
  • Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project and program team
  • Make sure that you comply with processes and procedures as outlined at organization level from time to time including but not limited to maintaining required project documentation, following required folder structure for the project, following cred files sharing guidelines etc
  • You will ask questions, highlight/identify issues in plan, risks, communication, approach and get it actioned/corrected on a timely basis.
  • As a Line Manager you will
    • Support PMO lead to mentor/coach the project managers who are directly reporting into you
    • Figure out who needs help when, where, what and guide the reportee to get the required help in a timely manner so that over time the reportee can directly manage to get the required help without dependency on the line manager.
  • As a Leader you will
    • Contribute to team meetings, troubleshooting development and production problems across multiple environments and operating platforms, this applies not only to your projects but also for any active projects others are working on.
    • Strong and effective interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of clients and staff.
    • Improve organizational operations, recommending changes in policies and procedures.
    • Provide inputs to introduce processes helpful for the project management team.
    • Support and develop Jr. Project Managers/Coordinators by providing advice, coaching and educational/mentoring opportunities.
    • Support resource management/planning.
  • As an Oversee on a project
    • You will ensure the project management plan is apt for the kind of project and are kept aware of how the project is managed.
    • At the agreed frequency, facilitating and participating in Project Retrospectives/Lessons Learned meets to make sure key learnings are captured, shared with key stakeholders as well as the broader Project Management team, ensuring the leanings are incorporated and implemented.
