Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan University is seeking a highly motivated, tech-savvy, and detail-oriented Website Manager to oversee and enhance the universitys digital presence. This role is essential in ensuring our website is user-friendly, functional, visually appealing, and aligned with the universitys mission to provide quality education and services to students, faculty, and staff.The Website Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the universitys website, ensuring that it serves as an effective tool for communication, marketing, and engagement with the university community.Key Responsibilities:Website Maintenance & Content Updates: Regularly update and maintain content on the university website, ensuring accuracy and alignment with the latest academic programs, events, announcements, and news.Collaboration with Departments: Work closely with academic departments, student services, admissions, and other university units to ensure all website content is current, relevant, and meets the needs of prospective and current students, faculty, and staff.Performance Monitoring & Analytics: Monitor website performance using tools like Google Analytics, and provide regular reports on traffic, engagement, and key performance indicators (KPIs). Identify opportunities for optimization.User Experience (UX) Optimization: Improve the websites user experience, ensuring it is intuitive, responsive, and accessible to users across all devices. Make recommendations for design and usability improvements.Technical Support & Troubleshooting: Address technical issues related to the websites functionality, working with web developers and IT support to resolve problems quickly and effectively.Project Management: Lead web-related projects, such as redesigns, new feature development, or integrations with third-party platforms. Manage timelines, resources, and stakeholder communication to ensure successful project delivery.Security & Compliance: Ensure the website adheres to security best practices and complies with relevant data protection laws, such as GDPR. Regularly update software and plugins to ensure security and performance.Brand Alignment: Ensure the website reflects the universitys branding and messaging, maintaining a consistent visual identity across all pages and content.Skills & Qualifications:Bachelors Degree/ Masters in Web Development, Computer Science, Digital Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).Proven experience (3 years) managing and optimizing websites, preferably in an educational or academic setting.Strong working knowledge of content management systems (CMS) such as WordPress, Joomla, or Drupal.Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and familiarity with JavaScript and other web technologies.Experience using website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Google Search Console).Solid understanding of SEO best practices and strategies.Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to work under pressure.Excellent communication, collaboration, and project management skills.Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and priorities.Preferred:Experience with academic or university websites.Knowledge of eLearning platforms and integration with the website.Familiarity with web accessibility standards and best practices for inclusive web design.Experience with website hosting, server management, and technical troubleshooting.Experience with graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) for content creation.Why Join Us At Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan University, we are committed to creating an exceptional online experience for our students, faculty, and staff.
