Job Description

    Role Overview:You will be joining the Transformer service business unit of Hitachi Energy as a Field Service Engineer based in Vadodara, India. Your main role will be to contribute to the execution of the Service strategy and growth by delivering high-quality, cost-effective service offerings, solutions, and engineering projects for customers. You will be responsible for executing Service work in accordance with Hitachi Energy standard processes, quality standards, and safety guidelines. Additionally, you will be delivering quality customer service to satisfy prestigious customers and identifying new service opportunities for Hitachi Energy.Key Responsibilities:- Travel to customer sites on a daily basis, being flexible to travel throughout India and nearby countries.- Allocate, drive, and monitor workload based on content, delivery timescales, and competences.- Utilize available resources in a responsive manner and ensure materials and components are available for service tasks on time.- Prepare documents and reports for customer sign-off within deadlines.- Drive continuous service productivity improvement activities and ensure service findings are communicated to product/system local units.- Comply with health & safety and environmental directives, ensuring adequate supervision in the area of responsibility.- Troubleshoot equipment failures and provide recommendations for improvement to management.- Ensure compliance with external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.- Uphold Hitachi Energys core values of safety and integrity by taking responsibility for actions and caring for colleagues and the business.Qualifications Required:- Hold a BE/Diploma in electrical engineering with at least 5 years of experience as a Field Service Engineer in the power sector, specifically within Transformers (Distribution, Dry, Power, Traction, etc.).- Customer-focused with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.- Capable of taking a leading role and working within a team.- Proven experience working with prestigious business customers.- Proactive with initiative, knowing when to escalate and delegate.- Ability to cultivate customer relationships as a trusted expert in the field.- Fluent in spoken and written English.- Proficiency in both spoken and written English language is required.- Able to work under pressure to tight deadlines with a flexible attitude and make decisions independently.(Note: The additional details of the company are not explicitly mentioned in the provided job description.),
