Job Description

    Hitachi Energy is currently seeking a Warehouse Supervisor for the Transformers Business in Vadodara, India. As a Warehouse Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in overseeing various aspects of warehouse operations to ensure efficiency and compliance with safety standards. The ideal candidate for this position should thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, possess strong communication skills, and have a background in warehouse management.In this role, you will be responsible for conducting daily prestart meetings, training store personnel on safety procedures, and supervising 5S practices to maintain a safe work environment. Additionally, you will participate in work area inspections, complete audit reports, and ensure compliance with established protocols.Your duties will also include overseeing material handling and storage processes, such as loading/unloading with safety measures, proper storage of inspected materials, and maintaining inventory traceability through FIFO adherence. You will be tasked with conducting quarterly stock verifications, comparing physical and book stock, and addressing any discrepancies that may arise.Furthermore, you will coordinate with the Purchase and Quality teams for the proper disposal of rejected materials and manage designated storage areas for decision-pending materials. Your role will also involve ensuring secure material issuance, stock verification, audit compliance, and scrap disposal while preparing excisable documents for subcontracted materials.To be successful in this position, you should hold a Diploma/B Tech/BE in Electrical, Mechanical, or Instrumentation Engineering and have at least 5 years of warehouse experience, with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory role. Proficiency in SAP and the Microsoft Office Suite is required, along with a strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management, and material handling practices.The ability to ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and audit standards, as well as strong problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills, are essential for this role.
