Job Title: Sports Coach (Football, Throw Ball, Basketball, and Cricket)Location: Nalanda Vidyaniketan, Vijayawada, Andhra PradeshJob Summary:The Sports Coach is responsible for coaching and developing students in various sports, including Football, Throw Ball, Basketball (female only), and Cricket at NVN Primary. This role involves teaching fundamental skills, promoting teamwork, and fostering a love for sports in a safe and engaging environment. The coach will work with students of various age groups, with a focus on building physical fitness, sportsmanship, and technical abilities in their respective sports.Key Responsibilities:Sports Coaching: Develop and implement age-appropriate coaching sessions for Football, Throw Ball, Basketball (female only), and Cricket. Teach fundamental skills, strategies, and rules of each sport, ensuring students understand the basics and can participate confidently. Organize and supervise regular practice sessions and inter-school matches, providing feedback and guidance to help students improve their skills. Focus on teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship, ensuring all students participate in a positive and supportive environment. Player Development: Assess the abilities of students and tailor coaching strategies to meet their individual needs and skill levels. Encourage continuous improvement, motivating students to reach their full potential in their chosen sports. Identify and nurture talent, providing additional training opportunities for students showing exceptional skills.Safety and Supervision: Ensure the safety of all students during practice sessions, matches, and physical activities. Maintain a clean and organized sports environment, ensuring all equipment is safe, well-maintained, and suitable for student use. Educate students on proper warm-up and cool-down exercises to prevent injuries.Event Organization: Plan and coordinate sports events, tournaments, and matches within the school and with other institutions. Work closely with other staff members to ensure events are well-organized, inclusive, and enjoyable for all participants. Manage logistics related to sports events, including scheduling, equipment preparation, and team management.Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with other teachers and staff to integrate sports activities into the broader school curriculum. Communicate effectively with parents, providing updates on their childrens progress, participation, and any relevant achievements or concerns. Work with school management to align coaching programs with school objectives and ensure the sports programs success.Qualifications: Degree or certification in Physical Education, Sports Coaching, or a related field. Prior experience coaching Football, Throw Ball, Basketball, and Cricket, particularly with young students. Strong understanding of the rules, techniques, and strategies of each sport. Knowledge of child development and age-appropriate coaching methods. First aid and CPR certified (preferred).Skills: Enthusiastic and positive attitude Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to engage and motivate students of different age groups and skill levels Patience, discipline, and a passion for sports and physical educationReporting: Reports directly to the PrincipalThis role is essential in promoting physical fitness, teamwork, and a love for sports among students at Nalanda Vidyaniketan Primary Campus.
