QA Analyst/Quality Assurance Engineer

Job Description

You are a detail-oriented QA professional responsible for designing and executing manual and automated tests. You will collaborate with product, engineering, and operations teams. The work is remote with working hours in the US Eastern time zone, from Monday to Friday, and a joining period of 2 weeks or earlier.Key Responsibilities:- Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts to validate software functionality, performance, and reliability.- Perform manual testing (functional, regression, exploratory, UI/UX) and automated testing (smoke, regression, API, integration) as needed.- Identify, document, and track defects; collaborate with engineers to reproduce, prioritize, and verify fixes.- Create and maintain test data, test environments, and test automation frameworks.- Support CI/CD pipelines by integrating automated tests for smooth release cycles.- Maintain clear documentation including test plans, test results, and knowledge base articles.Qualifications:- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).- Proven experience in software quality assurance for web, mobile, or backend systems.- Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies and lifecycle (Agile/Scrum, DevOps).- Proficiency with test case management and defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail, Zephyr) and familiarity with automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress) is a plus.- Familiarity with API testing (Postman, REST, SOAP) and basic programming/scripting for test automation is a plus.- Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.Nice-to-have:- Experience with performance/load testing tools like JMeter, Locust.- Familiarity with SQL and data validation would be beneficial.
