Role Overview:As a Software Engineer II at S&P Global, you will be part of a team responsible for designing, architecting, and developing client-facing applications using a variety of tools. You will collaborate with colleagues from diverse backgrounds and work on crucial code that supports daily decisions in capital and commodities markets.Key Responsibilities:- Identify, prioritize, and execute tasks in an Agile software development environment- Develop tools and applications with clean, high-quality, and efficient code- Create solutions to support key business needs- Engineer components and common services using standard development models, languages, and tools- Produce system design documents and actively participate in technical walkthroughs- Collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical partners- Continuously improve the architecture as a team memberQualifications Required:- Bachelors/Masters Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent- 4 years of relevant experience- Expertise in server-side programming with NodeJS or Python- Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, Angular, React JS, and full-stack development technologies- Skills in HTML5, Bootstrap, CSS- Hands-on experience in functional distributed application programming- Working experience with AWS Services- Proficient in software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies like Agile and Test-driven development- Knowledge of AI, ML, and the latest updates on Gen AI- Experience with Copilot or similar vibe coding toolAbout the Company:S&P Global is a global company with a mission to advance Essential Intelligence.
