Job Description

    As an Assistant Engineer - Electrical and Power at AECOMs Enterprise Capabilities team in Bengaluru, you will be responsible for supporting the delivery of electrical design packages across rail infrastructure projects. Your key responsibilities will include:- Designing Stations M&E, Rail Lineside M&E low voltage systems such as Platform Lighting, LV Power Distribution, Points Heating, and Signalling Power.- Preparing key elements of design deliverables like technical reports, electrical calculations, lighting calculations, and CAD drawings using industry-standard software.- Coordinating with colleagues in other rail disciplines to ensure consistency in design proposals across all submissions.- Conducting desktop studies, record searches, and site surveys to assess available records and existing site conditions before design development.- Applying your familiarity with the full project lifecycle, from feasibility and concept design to detailed design and construction support.- Utilizing international, UK Network Rail, and Railway Group Standards, as well as relevant British Standards and Eurocodes.Qualifications required for this role include:- Master of Engineering degree (or equivalent education) in an appropriate engineering discipline from an accredited college or university.- 1 to 3 years of experience in Electrical Engineering, preferably with exposure to rail or infrastructure projects.- Good working knowledge of low voltage systems like Stations LV, Platform Lighting, LV Power Distribution, Points Heating, and Signalling Power.- Familiarity with design tools such as MicroStation, Trimble Pro Design/Electrical OM, ETAP, and DiaLux Evo.- Awareness of CDM Regulations, design safety principles, and risk assessment.- Strong technical writing and documentation skills to support report preparation and design submissions.- Effective communication and coordination abilities to collaborate within multidisciplinary teams and take direction from senior engineers.At AECOM, you will have the freedom to grow in a world of opportunity through the Freedom to Grow hybrid working philosophy, supporting a culture of flexibility, trust, and performance.
