Job Description

    Role Overview:You will lead a team of distributed engineers to design and implement the best Ubuntu integration for the latest IoT and server-class hardware platforms and software stacks. Your responsibilities will include engaging with commercial partners to deliver a delightful, optimized Ubuntu experience, developing your team through coaching and mentoring, overseeing commercial engagements, ensuring quality and reliability standards, and aligning with other teams at Canonical. Additionally, you will have the flexibility to work from home with occasional global travel opportunities.Key Responsibilities:- Lead a team of engineers to design and implement Ubuntu integration- Engage with commercial partners to optimize Ubuntu experience on their platforms- Develop team members through coaching, mentoring, and feedback- Oversee commercial engagements and ensure timely delivery on project milestones- Maintain strict quality and reliability standards- Collaborate with other teams at Canonical for product alignment- Work from home with occasional global travel opportunitiesQualifications Required:- Experience with Linux distributions, debian packaging, and server-class hardware- Ability to work directly with customers to resolve technical issues and communicate solutions effectively- Demonstrated experience in managing or leading a team of software engineers- Understanding of agile software development methodologies- Effective communication skills in English, both written and oral- Bachelors degree or equivalent in a technology field(Note: Additional details about the company were not provided in the job description.)
