Job Description

    As the Legal Manager at our organization, you will play a crucial role in overseeing corporate litigation and compliance management to safeguard the companys interests and reputation. Your responsibilities will include:- Conducting internal analysis of existing processes to identify gaps and develop robust legal systems, processes, and SOPs for the centralized Legal Department.- Overseeing all litigation and arbitration matters, including civil, criminal, regulatory, and customer protection-related cases. You will manage ongoing court proceedings, customer complaints, and coordinate closely with external counsel for effective representation. Additionally, you will maintain a comprehensive litigation tracker and provide regular updates to senior management.- Maintaining an up-to-date tracker of all ongoing and potential legal cases and sharing concise and accurate updates with senior management. You will also coordinate with internal teams and external counsel to schedule and manage legal hearings.- Acting as a trusted legal advisor to the company on various legal matters such as arbitration, dispute resolution, intellectual property rights, medico-legal issues, labor and employment laws, and compliance management.- Ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards related to environmental, health & safety, biomedical waste handling, laboratory licensing requirements, and other statutory frameworks.- Overseeing the legal aspects of laboratory setup and related compliance, including necessary approvals, licenses, and registrations. You will also identify potential legal risks, develop mitigation strategies, and lead internal investigations.- Drafting, reviewing, and issuing legal notices and correspondence in response to disputes or conflicts raised by internal business teams. You will ensure all communications are legally sound and support the companys position in legal matters.Qualifications Required:- Experience: 13-14 years- Qualification Background: LLB or LLM- Prior Experience/Background: - Exposure to handling Legal Court Matters, Dealing with External Panel of Advocates, and contracts. - Excellent knowledge of corporate laws, including Companies Act, Lab/diagnostic compliance, etc. - Good contract drafting skillsPreferred Industry:- Healthcare, diagnostics, consumer durable, consumer services, real estate, retail, Big 4 legal consultancy, etc. As the Legal Manager at our organization, you will play a crucial role in overseeing corporate litigation and compliance management to safeguard the companys interests and reputation.
